Terms of Service
The service
Bojy helps you find job openings, tailor your resume, track applications, and prepare for interviews. Job listings are aggregated from public sources and company career pages; we don't guarantee any listing's accuracy, availability, or that applying leads to any outcome. Bojy is a tool that assists your job search — the search, the applications, and the decisions are yours.
Your account
You need an account to use the app. Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us promptly about any unauthorized use. You must be at least 16 and provide accurate information. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
Acceptable use
Don't scrape, crawl, bulk-export, or systematically collect job data from the service; don't resell or redistribute our listings, scores, or matches; don't probe, overload, or attempt to bypass access controls or rate limits; don't use the service to spam employers or misrepresent your identity or qualifications. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
AI features
Resume tailoring and interview prep are AI-assisted drafts based on the material you provide. You review and approve everything before it's used — never submit AI output you haven't verified. We design these features to rephrase your real experience, never to invent qualifications, but you are responsible for the accuracy of anything you send an employer.
Subscriptions & billing
Paid plans bill monthly through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the billing page; access continues through the end of the paid period. Prices may change with notice before your next renewal. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Intellectual property
Your resume and the content you upload remain yours; you grant us the license needed to operate the service on your behalf (storage, matching, AI processing you request). The service itself — software, design, ranking — is ours.
Disclaimers & liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost employment opportunities.
Termination & changes
You can delete your account at any time. We may modify these terms; material changes will be announced in-app or by email before they take effect, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
Privacy Policy
What we collect
Account data (email, name), your resume and the preferences you set (target roles, locations, salary, remote preference), your application tracking entries, and standard usage/technical logs. Payment details go directly to Stripe — we never see your card number.
How we use it
To run the product: matching jobs to your resume and preferences (including deriving a numerical representation — an embedding — of your resume for ranking), generating the AI tailoring and interview-prep drafts you request, tracking your applications, and sending service emails. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your resume with employers or anyone else unless you explicitly send it.
AI processing
When you use AI features, the relevant resume text and job description are sent to our cloud AI provider to generate your draft. These requests are used to produce your output, not to train the provider's models under our agreements.
Where it lives
Data is stored with Supabase (database, authentication, file storage; US region) and served through Vercel. Subprocessors: Supabase, Vercel, Stripe (payments), and our AI inference provider for the AI features you invoke.
Retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. Delete your account and we delete your personal data — resume files, preferences, embeddings, and tracking history — within 30 days, except minimal records we must retain for legal or billing compliance.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Most of it is directly editable in the app; for anything else, or to exercise rights under GDPR/CCPA where applicable, contact hello@bojy.org.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit; data is encrypted at rest by our storage providers. Access to user data is restricted by row-level security — your data is readable only by your authenticated session.
